COSTUME BIOGRAPHY-

This extraordinary man's interest in Costume Design started as a young dancer. It was a tap class rendition of "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" that gave young little Curtis his first costume challenge; a white shirt, white pants, red and white striped vest, and for the final touch, a fancy red and white twisted rope belt...a designer was born! He was hooked and has been designing and building costumes ever since.

Curtis-Jerome's designs have been seen frequently in Film and Television such as; "Buford's Beach Bunnies" starring Jim Hanks, "Dance Fever", commercials for Kimberly-Clarke and "Safer Sex Now" public service anouncments.

Curtis' passion for live events frequently takes him back to the stage. Whether designing for a Broadway scale show, Las Vegas showrooms, variety shows or one-woman show, the live performance and the energy of a live audience fuels his soul.

Curtis-Jerome's stage productions include recreations of "Cabaret", "Chicago", "The Wiz", and most recently "Reefer Madness". Off-Broadway audiences enjoyed his spectacular and original designs for "Fabulous Divas of Braodway", receiving acclaim from New York critics and a limited 10 week sold out run.

The commission Curtis is most proud of, is his years of service as resident designer for the Orange County Children's Theatre. The reward of helping young actors to have pride in their performances has forever touched his heart and taught him to carry that spirit into all his work. Through his designs, Curtis-Jerome has maintained a reputation with actors and directors as a true professional. He can enhance a story and characters that keeps him in high demand.
